There are no translations available. Introduction by María Teresa Aveggio, Programme Manager | | In the mid-90s WACC with the generous support of the German agency Evangelisches Missionwerk (EMW) launched a Critical Situations Fund. Through this special Fund support was given to a number of communication initiatives in Rwanda and in Haiti. The Haitian stories which appeared in the report were stories of success of community media which had become a key element in the development of marginalised and remote communities. Over the years, community media, and specially community radio, continued to play a vital role in among the grass roots in Haiti and WACC’s support continued through a number of small projects.
