The recommendations of the Truth Commission based on the 1992 peace accords signed in El Salvador include clarifying the truth, overcoming impunity, and national reconciliation. These have been ignored by successive governments and no measures have been taken to recognise the victims of the civil war. Despite this, several civil society organizations and universities have made serious efforts to restore dignity to victims and urge public recognition of what happened. AUCA intends to purchase a professional television camera that will be used to produce six short documentaries to help break the dynamic of concealing what took place.
