On World AIDS Day, 1 December 2012, the World Association for Christian Communication (WACC) calls on its partners and networks to integrate interfaith approaches in interventions to reduce stigma and discrimination against people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS.
On International Day of the World’s Indigenous People, WACC is calling on civil society organizations and governments to support community radio in an effort to advance the democratic participation and active citizenship of Indigenous peoples.

WACC is celebrating International Peace Day together with Radio Okapi, based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The International Press Institute (IPI) has honoured Radio Okapi with its 2010 Free Media Pioneer award.
