The European Region of the World Association for Christian Communication strongly condemns the attacks against a Copenhagen cultural centre and a synagogue and reaffirms its support for freedom of expression and freedom of religion within open societies where controversial issues are addressed through debate and discussion, not violence and killing. We extend our sympathy to the families, friends and colleagues of documentary film maker Finn Norgaard and Dan Uzan, guarding the synagogue where one of the attacks took place. At the same time we remember the journalists throughout the world who have face death or been killed in the course of their duties.
