2013

WACC partners with UNESCO and other NGOs to organise the Global Forum on Media and Gender, held 2-4 December 2013 in Bangkok, Thailand. It is a pioneering event aimed at addressing gender equality and women’s empowerment in and through the media in order to contribute to achieving the Millennium Development Goal on “promoting gender equality and empowering women”. It enables high-level sessions that debate the challenges faced by international, regional and national programmes on gender and media.
