WACC Conversation Circle to boost collective voice for digital justice post-WSIS+20

A WACC Conversation Circle on 6 November aims to strengthen collective action for a more just digital future in the wake of the 20-year review of the United Nations’ World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS+20).

The one-hour online conversation “Building Momentum – Digital Justice Advocacy Post-WSIS+20” will explore the challenges and opportunities shaping our global information ecosystem, and the key outcomes of WSIS+20 and related international processes like the Internet Governance Forum and the UN Pact for the Future with its Global Digital Compact.

Participants will hear joint advocacy ideas from community, policy, and technology perspectives and have a chance to suggest steps to impact positive change.

“During this next Conversation Circle, we want to identify key actions that a range of organizations can feed into,” says WACC Program Director Lorenzo Vargas, who co-led WACC’s delegation at the WSIS+20 High-Level Event in Geneva this past July.

Panelists for the Conversation Circle include:

WACC General Secretary Philip Lee, who also attended the WSIS+20 event, will moderate the one-hour discussion.

Interpretation will be available in English, Spanish, and French.

“This interactive conversation is your chance to help form a shared digital justice agenda – and drive stronger, collaborative advocacy,” says Vargas. “Don’t miss this opportunity to connect, collaborate, and co-create a more just digital future.”

Please register to join the conversation on 6 November.
