“Women in Communication” becomes a new programme at WACC to “promote justice and equality for women through existing communication projects.”

In 1984 Steve Jobs introduces the first mass-market personal computer featuring a graphical user interface and mouse. The Apple Macintosh Plus is shown (photo). Five years later, the Macintosh Portable, Apple’s first battery-powered computer, comes on the market.
