Following the publication of the MacBride Report, Many Voices, One World in 1980, the New World Information and Communication Order (NWICO) controversy is discussed at a joint meeting of WACC, WCC, the Lutheran World Federation (LWF), World Alliance of Reformed Churches (WARC), and representatives of Roman Catholic groups held in Versailles, France, on 1-4 February 1981.
