WACC supports UNESCO’s Women make the news campaign

On International Women’s Day (March 8), WACC encouraged its networks, members and partners among civil society groups, associations of media practitioners and media organizations to participate in UNESCO’s Women make the news campaign. The campaign theme is Rural women’s access to media and information. WACC is also supporting UNESCO’s call on editors-in-chief of newspapers, radio and television to entrust women journalists and reporters with editorial responsibility for the newsroom during the campaign that runs from March 8 to April 30, 2012.
