An expert panel convened by the UN has urged greater
cooperation among governments, civil society and the private sector,
saying that while the rise of digital technologies has resulted in
“unprecedented advances,” it has also posed “profound new challenges” to
people’s human rights.

Today, June 20, is World Refugee Day and WACC is calling on
communicators to “create greater awareness among the public” about the
plight of displaced people, migrants and refugees worldwide and how they
can help them....
Twelve women and 12 men from 10
community and Indigenous radio stations in the states of Oaxaca and
Hidalgo, Mexico, have taken part in a WACC-supported media training that
left many enthused about “a new way of doing radio.”
